Islamabad — According to the latest data from the International Safety Survey and Numbeo Safety Index 2025, some countries around the world are considered extremely safe based on public security, low crime rates, and stability, while others face serious challenges in ensuring public safety.

Safest Countries

The 2025 safety ranking identifies the following countries as the safest:

• United Arab Emirates — Leading with a safety score of approximately 85.2.

• Andorra — Small but highly secure, score 84.7.

• Qatar — Strong security and low crime, score 84.2.

• Taiwan — Score 82.9.

• Oman — Score 81.7.

Other countries among the world’s safest include the Isle of Man, Hong Kong, Armenia, Singapore, and Japan. These nations not only maintain low crime rates but also have strong law enforcement, political stability, and effective policies to ensure citizens’ personal safety.

Least Safe Countries

The 2025 safety index also highlights countries facing severe public security challenges:

• Haiti — Ranked the least safe with a score around 19.
