International Petrol and Diesel Prices Fall Amid Global Market Decline

ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – Global oil markets have witnessed a noticeable downturn, with international prices of both petrol and diesel registering a sharp decline. The price of petrol dropped by $2.74 per barrel, sliding from $69.27 to $66.54, while its premium eased by 13 cents to $5.01 per barrel. In addition, customs duty on petrol was reduced by PKR 0.72 per liter, and the exchange rate adjustment fell by PKR 0.68 per liter. As a result, the ex-refinery price of petrol decreased significantly by PKR 6.51 per liter, settling at PKR 139.06 compared to the previous PKR 145.57.

Similarly, diesel prices also moved downward, with the global rate falling by $2.33 per barrel from $76.32 to $73.99. Customs duty on diesel declined by PKR 0.80 per liter, while the exchange adjustment dropped by PKR 0.35 per liter. Consequently, the ex-refinery price of diesel fell by PKR 5.33 per liter, coming down from PKR 155.33 to PKR 149.99 per liter.
