Pakistan-(Special-Corresponded/Web Desk)-Federal Minister Rana Sanaullah has stated that Army Chief General Asim Munir will remain in his position until November 2027. He confirmed this is fully allowed under the country’s current laws.
Speaking to reporters, Sanaullah also clarified the rules for other military leaders. He explained that after recent legal changes, no new official order is needed for the Air Chief or other service heads. “When the Air Chief finishes his five-year term, he will retire on schedule,” he added.
Praising the Army Chief’s work, Sanaullah said, “The positive results seen under Asim Munir’s command show he is the right person for this continued role.” He noted that the law has always allowed for extensions and that past leaders have also had their terms extended.
