Gas Supply Issue in Hub: Residents Seek Attention from Authorities
Persistent Gas Supply Disruption: Hub Sui Southern Gas Defies Orders۔
Protests and Appeals: Residents Demand Action from Government۔
Body: In the industrial zone of Balochistan’s Hub, the issue of persistent gas supply disruption has left residents in distress as Hub Sui Southern Gas continues to defy orders from higher authorities. Despite directives from the Prime Minister and Chief Minister of Balochistan to ensure uninterrupted gas supply to household consumers during cooking hours, Hub Gas seems to have established its own authority.
Residents of Allahabad Town Magsi Colony in Hub City have been facing a dire situation for the past two years, with 24-hour gas supply suspension. Despite repeated requests and appeals to Hub Gas officers, the area remains disconnected from gas supply, leaving households without access to a basic necessity.
The lack of gas supply has led to protests by residents, especially among the unemployed class who struggle to arrange alternative fuel for cooking. Children going to bed hungry due to the unavailability of gas has sparked anger and frustration among the residents, who feel neglected by the authorities.
Meanwhile, there is a stark contrast in the allocation of gas, with industries and CNG filling stations receiving ample supply while domestic consumers face prolonged shortages. Residents question where their rightful share of gas is being diverted and call for transparency in the distribution process.

In light of the ongoing crisis, residents of Allahabad Town Magsi Colony are looking towards the provincial and federal government, particularly the new Chief Minister of Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, known for their people-friendly approach. They urge the authorities to take strict notice of the obstinacy of Hub Gas orders and initiate an inquiry into the matter.
With protests escalating, residents vow to seek justice through legal means, including approaching the Balochistan High Court, until their grievances are addressed by the concerned authorities.
