Quetta: (Web Desk) A 12-inch-diameter gas pipeline was blown up by some unidentified miscreants in Dhadar, the capital of the Kachhi District in the Baluchistan province and near Sirajabad in Bolan.
According to Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) sources, gas supply to Quetta, Kalat, Ziarat and adjoining areas was affected due to damage to the gas pipeline. Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) officials said some parts including Quetta won’t be able to receive gas and that the gas pressure would also remain low in next 48 hours. Teams would be dispatched to the affected area to restore gas supply as soon as possible.
Meanwhile Bolan Deputy Commissioner Sami Ullah Agha said that the incident of sabotage happened around 8pm. The suspects used explosives to explode the pipeline. He said the law enforcers had launched search to identify the elements behind the incident.
