Fuel relief: petrol down Rs 5.66, diesel down Rs 1.39
Kerosene reduced by Rs3.26 per litre
The government has reduced prices of petroleum products for the next fortnight, effective from 12 midnight on October 16 (Thursday).
According to the official notification, the price of petrol has been reduced by Rs5.66 per litre, setting the new rate at Rs263.2 per litre. The price of high-speed diesel has dropped by Rs1.39 per litre, with the new rate fixed at Rs275.41 per litre.
Government Increases Prices of Petroleum Products
Kerosene oil is now cheaper by Rs3.26 per litre, while the price of light diesel oil has been cut by Rs2.74 per litre.
The revised prices will remain in effect for the stated period.
