Free Transport Services for Vulnerable Groups Coming to Punjab’s Metro and Bus Systems”

Approval Expected Today for Lahore, Multan, and Rawalpindi Free Travel Program

The PML-N-led Punjab government is preparing to roll out free travel services for senior citizens, students, and individuals with disabilities on the Orange Line, Metro, and Speedo buses.

The transport department and the Mass Transit Authority are currently awaiting final approval for the initiative.

The free transportation will be offered in Lahore, Multan, and Rawalpindi, allowing accessible travel on both the Metro Bus and Orange Line Train systems.

2% Fare Cut Announced for Multan’s Passenger and Goods Transport

A detailed summary of this welfare program has been presented to the Cabinet Committee on Finance.

Approval is anticipated during a meeting chaired by Senior Minister Maryam Aurangzeb, which is expected to take place today. If approved, this program will represent a significant advancement in enhancing mobility for vulnerable groups across Punjab.
