Four More Dengue Cases Confirmed at Faisalabad Hospital

FAISALABAD: (Staff Reporter) – Four additional patients undergoing treatment at Allied Hospital One in Faisalabad have tested positive for dengue virus taking the total number of confirmed dengue patients at the hospital to 17.

According to reports, three of the newly diagnosed patients are women from the same family and residents of Railway Colony in Faisalabad.

The fourth patient belongs to Batala Colony, Faisalabad. All four patients are currently receiving treatment at Allied Hospital One.

The latest cases have raised concerns over the potential spread of dengue in the city, particularly during the ongoing monsoon season when conditions can become favourable for mosquito breeding.

Earlier, on August 5, Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) Director General Muhammad Asif Chaudhry had directed authorities to step up anti-dengue measures and warned that negligence would not be tolerated.

He stressed that the risk of dengue larvae breeding increases during the monsoon season and instructed relevant departments to ensure effective preventive measures.

The FDA director general also directed officials to implement the Punjab government’s anti-dengue instructions in letter and spirit and ensure that preventive activities are carried out without compromise.
