Islamabad: Former Lieutenant General Faiz Hameed has been sentenced to 14 years in prison by a Field General Court Martial under the Pakistan Army Act, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) confirmed.
The proceedings, which began on August 12, 2024, examined four major charges against Faiz Hameed. These included interference in political matters, violation of the Official Secrets Act, misuse of authority and government resources, and causing harm to various individuals. After a detailed legal process, he was found guilty on all counts.
The ISPR stated that Faiz Hameed was provided all legal rights during the trial, including the assistance of a defense team of his choice. The verdict was announced on December 11, 2025.

Officials noted that the former general has the right to appeal the decision in the appropriate forum. Meanwhile, separate proceedings are ongoing regarding alleged political provocation and destabilization involving political elements.
