ISLAMABAD: (Web Desk) – Former Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Umer Atta Bandial has revealed that his WhatsApp account has been hacked, with the hacker allegedly contacting his close friends and demanding money.
According to Justice Bandial, the impersonator used his compromised WhatsApp number to seek Rs 500,000 from his acquaintances. He also shared screenshots of the fraudulent conversations to warn others about the scam.
Sources said that the former chief justice has formally lodged a complaint with the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA), requesting immediate action to recover his WhatsApp account and trace those responsible.

Officials familiar with the matter said the complaint seeks technical assistance to secure the compromised account and prevent further misuse of his identity.
Authorities have advised the public to remain vigilant and verify requests for money received through messaging applications, particularly when such requests appear to come from known contacts.
