Foreign Ministry Resumes Document Attestation, Increases Fees

The Ministry has issued a new fee schedule for document attestation.

Islamabad: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced the resumption of document attestation services and has also increased the fees. A new fee schedule has been released.

According to the spokesperson of the Foreign Office, starting Monday, educational certificates, legal documents, and commercial documents will be attested. Citizens can utilize the Ministry’s walk-in procedure for document attestation.

The spokesperson also mentioned that citizens can visit liaison offices in Lahore and Karachi for attestation. The requirement for a prior appointment has been removed. The Ministry has issued a new fee schedule for document attestation.

As per the new schedule, the fee for attesting personal and educational certificates will be PKR 3,000 per document, legal documents will be attested for PKR 4,500, and commercial documents for PKR 12,000.

Previously, the fees were PKR 500, 700, and 3,000 respectively. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs attests documents for a period of six months, and if the documents are not used within this period, they must be re-attested.
