FM Dar holds key talks with Portuguese Foreign Minister on region
Pakistan and Portugal Unite for Peace as Top Diplomats Agree to Strengthen Ties and Keep Talking
Pakistan & Paulo – (Web Desk) – Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar held a phone conversation on Monday with Portugal’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Paulo Rangel, to talk about the rapidly changing situation in the region.
During the call, Dar stressed the pressing need to bring tensions down and highlighted Pakistan’s sincere commitment to working toward lasting peace and stability in the region. The development was confirmed by the Foreign Office Spokesperson through an official press release.
The Portuguese minister of state fully supported and appreciated the efforts being made by the Government of Pakistan to facilitate and promote dialogue and diplomacy for regional peace and stability.
Pakistan avoids confirming role in Middle East ceasefire
Both leaders also appreciated the positive momentum in bilateral relations and agreed to further strengthen bilateral cooperation in all areas of mutual interest. They underscored the importance of sustained high-level exchanges and agreed to maintain close contact.
