Fiza emphasized the need for proper protocol when dealing with cases involving women.
ISLAMABAD: Fiza Ali has condemned the police torture of a woman, called the act ‘humiliating’ and seeking immediate action from authorities.
Speaking during her morning show, Fiza expressed outrage over reports that a woman had been subjected to physical abuse at the hands of police officials.
She said such acts were unacceptable in any civilised society and demanded that the perpetrators be held accountable.
“This is humiliating, not just for the victim but for our entire system,” she said, adding that such behaviour from law enforcement erodes public trust.
Fiza urged police high-ups to take strict notice of the matter and ensure that the officers involved in this ‘illegal act’ are punished according to the law.
The TV host stressed that swift and decisive action was essential, not only to deliver justice in this case but also to send a strong message that abuse of power will not be tolerated.
“If such incidents go unchecked, they will only embolden others to commit similar acts,” she warned.
