Five Policemen Martyred in Remote-Controlled Blast in Tank

Remote-controlled blast near police vehicle in Tank district kills five officers, triggers security alert and investigation across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

At least five police officers were martyred on Monday after a remote-controlled bomb exploded near an armoured police vehicle on Gomal Bazaar Road in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Tank district.

According to police officials, the blast occurred while the vehicle was on routine patrol in the busy market area. The explosion caused severe damage to the vehicle and created panic among local residents and shopkeepers.

Rescue teams and senior police officers rushed to the scene soon after the incident. The injured were shifted to a nearby hospital, while the area was cordoned off for security reasons.
