Five Militants Killed in CTD Operation in Balochistan’s Duki Area

Weapons and explosives were recovered from the scene

DUKI: At least five suspected terrorists were killed in a Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) operation in Balochistan’s Duki district, officials confirmed on Saturday.

The operation was launched following an intelligence tip-off about the presence of militants affiliated with a banned organization. According to CTD spokespersons, the suspects opened fire upon spotting law enforcement personnel, sparking a fierce gunfight that resulted in all five being neutralized.

Authorities say the slain militants were involved in multiple attacks targeting labourers, civilians, and security forces, particularly in the Quetta mining region. They were also reportedly linked to past cases of kidnapping.

Weapons and explosives were recovered from the scene, while the identities of the deceased are being verified.
