Five Killed in Separate Explosions Across Iran
Investigations into both incidents are underway.
Tehran: (Web Desk) – At least five people were killed and more than ten injured in separate explosions in two different cities of Iran, according to news agencies.
In the Gulf coastal city of Bandar Abbas, an explosion occurred on Saturday in an eight-storey residential building located in the Moallem Boulevard area. The cause of the blast is still unknown. Iranian state media reported that two floors of the building were completely destroyed, while several parked vehicles and nearby shops were also damaged. Iranian authorities confirmed that one person was killed and 14 others were injured in the incident.

In a separate incident, a gas explosion took place in a four-storey residential building in the city of Ahvaz, killing four members of the same family. Iranian officials said that a three-year-old child and a woman trapped under the debris were successfully rescued.
Iranian media denied reports suggesting that a commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) was targeted in the explosions. Meanwhile, an Israeli official stated that Israel was not involved in the blasts that occurred in Iranian cities.
