Fire engulfs multiple shops in Aabpara Market

ISLAMABAD: A major fire erupted at Aabpara Market in Islamabad on Wednesday, consuming numerous garment shops.
The blaze originated in a cloth (dupatta) shop during the morning hours, swiftly spreading to neighboring shops.
According to a Rescue spokesman, three shops were completely destroyed, while materials in an adjacent shop suffered damage.

The fire brigade received the notification around 9 o’clock, and fire tenders were promptly deployed to actively engage in the operation to extinguish the flames.
Despite the challenging conditions, with thick smoke engulfing the market and narrow streets obstructing access, no casualties have been reported thus far.

In the face of the emergency, shopkeepers took matters into their own hands, working diligently to salvage their goods from the engulfed shops.
The cause of the fire remains uncertain at this point, as authorities work to determine the origin of the incident.
