Fire broke out at Peshawar Mor over 150 shops in Islamabad
Islamabad: (Staff Reporter) A fire broke out at Peshawar Mor area of Capital Territory Islamabad burning more than 150 shops. A fire broke out in a Sunday Bazaar at Peshawar Mor in Islamabad damaging essential commodities worth millions of rupees. More than 8 Rescue and fire brigade trucks are trying to control the fire.
According to the source, Firefighters have reached the spot and efforts were underway to bring fire under control. Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah took immediate notice of the tragic incident. Police sealed all the routes leading to the Sunday Bazaar and demanded a report of the incident from District Government Islamabad.
Furthermore District Commissioner (DC) Islamabad said that “There were numerous blasts due to petrol and generators in the shops, a total of around 2700 shops crumbled in the fire.” Pakistan Air force (PAF) fire fighter trucks assisted the Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad (MCI) and were able to control the fire.
