Fire Breaks Out Again on Islamabad’s Margalla Hills, Authorities Alert
Fire erupts on Margalla Hills near E-11 in Islamabad while another blaze in Rawalpindi plaza basement controlled after long rescue operation.
Margalla Hills – (Web Desk) – A fire broke out once again at the top of the Margalla Hills, near Sector E-11 in Islamabad. According to a spokesperson for the district administration, firefighters had to hike up the hills on foot to reach the affected area and begin efforts to put out the flames.
Rescue teams managed to bring the fire under control quickly, with the blaze fully contained around 4:15 a.m. Authorities confirmed that the cooling process is now underway to prevent the fire from reigniting.
Officials added that the fire erupted within the range of Margalla Avenue. Around 30 firefighters from the Environment Directorate took part in the operation to control the situation.
Meanwhile, a fire broke out in the basement of Plaza in Rawalpindi.
Fire broke out in a warehouse built in the base of the plaza.
However, was brought under control after 15 hours and cooling process is continued and 13 rescue vehicles and more than 50 volunteers participated in the operation.

Basement was broken into at 2 places to extinguish the fire and smoke was vented out through a hole in the basement roof.
