FIR Filed by Actor Aswad Haroon Against Nazish Jahangir: Bail Plea Rejected

Court dismisses fraud-related bail plea due to actress's non-appearance.

A district and sessions court in Lahore rejected actress Nazish Jahangir’s pre-arrest bail request on Friday, citing her absence from the hearing. The bail application was filed in response to an FIR lodged by fellow actor Aswad Haroon, accusing Jahangir of fraud.

The court dismissed her plea for “non-prosecution” after multiple attempts to contact her or her representatives failed.

Nazish Jahangir, known for her role in *Tohmat*, had submitted the petition following allegations of fraud, claiming the FIR was filed with “malicious intent” to tarnish her reputation and harass her.

The FIR, registered under Section 420 of the Pakistan Penal Code, accuses Jahangir of borrowing Haroon’s car and Rs2.5 million for a project but failing to return either after six months.

In her petition, Jahangir argued that her arrest would result in public humiliation, leading her to seek pre-arrest bail.

According to Haroon, Jahangir had arranged a meeting at a farmhouse to return the car’s documents but did not attend. Instead, a man named Sikandar Khan allegedly appeared, threatening Haroon and warning him not to contact Jahangir.

Haroon has called on authorities to recover his assets and provide protection.

Both Jahangir and Haroon co-starred in the 2023 telefilm *Aatish-e-Ishq* alongside actress Saba Faisal.
