Field Marshal Reaffirms Army’s Resolve, Oversees Induction of Z-10ME Attack Helicopters
A major highlight of the visit was the formal induction of the cutting-edge Z-10ME attack helicopters into Pakistan Army Aviation.
Multan – Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir reaffirmed the Pakistan Army’s unwavering commitment to safeguarding the nation’s sovereignty and territorial integrity during his visit to Multan Garrison, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Saturday.
Upon arrival at Corps Headquarters, the COAS was received by the Corps Commander Multan and briefed on the formation’s operational preparedness and ongoing training activities. Expressing satisfaction over the high standards of readiness, Field Marshal Munir commended the formation’s professionalism and strategic competence.
National Unity Key to Facing Hybrid Threats
During an interactive session with members of academia and civil society, the army chief emphasized the importance of national unity, civil-military cooperation, and a whole-of-nation approach in countering hybrid warfare challenges. He noted that societal cohesion and collective efforts are crucial to protecting national interests and responding effectively to evolving security threats.
Z-10ME Helicopters Inducted into Army Aviation
A major highlight of the visit was the formal induction of the cutting-edge Z-10ME attack helicopters into Pakistan Army Aviation. Presiding over the induction ceremony, Field Marshal Munir welcomed the addition of the all-weather combat platform, equipped with advanced radar systems and electronic warfare capabilities, to the Army’s aerial arsenal.
Later, the COAS witnessed a live firepower demonstration of the Z-10ME helicopters at the Muzaffargarh Field Firing Ranges. The demonstration showcased the aircraft’s precision strike capabilities and its effectiveness against diverse aerial and ground targets. ISPR described the development as a “significant leap” in the modernization of Army Aviation.

“The induction of this potent system reinforces the Army’s integrated battlefield response and strengthens its capacity to deliver decisive effects against potential adversaries,” the ISPR statement noted.

Interacting with troops in the field, Field Marshal Munir praised their high morale, combat proficiency, and professional excellence. He particularly acknowledged the successful execution of combined arms tactics, which he said reflected the Army’s resolve to maintain a decisive edge amid the changing dynamics of modern warfare.
