Pakistan, Iran Agree to Boost Military, Economic Cooperation for Regional Stability

TEHRAN – Chief of Army Staff of Pakistan, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, held a significant meeting with Major General Mohammad Bagheri, Chief of General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, during his official visit to Tehran.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Field Marshal Munir visited the Iranian General Staff Headquarters, where he was warmly received by senior Iranian military leadership.

During the meeting, the two military chiefs discussed regional security dynamics, with a particular focus on border security, defense cooperation, and economic connectivity. Both sides reviewed the current state of Pak-Iran military relations and expressed a shared commitment to strengthening bilateral defense ties.

A key point of the discussion was the mutual intention to transform the Pakistan-Iran border into a zone of economic prosperity, highlighting the importance of enhanced cooperation for regional peace and stability.

The leaders agreed that increased military collaboration and cross-border economic initiatives would contribute positively to the broader objective of regional development and harmony.
