FIA Cracks Down on Anti-State Group and Fake News Network
According to official sources, a network of fake news operations has been uncovered.
LAHORE: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Lahore has intensified legal and financial action against a religious group allegedly involved in anti-state protests and violent activities.
According to the FIA spokesperson, a comprehensive investigation is underway, during which financial records and assets of several key office-bearers and workers of the group are being scrutinized based on solid evidence.
As part of the crackdown, multiple bank accounts linked to the group have been frozen. These accounts are suspected of being used to fund violent protests. The FIA is also in the process of adding the names of individuals involved in financing and facilitating such activities to the Stop List, restricting their ability to travel.

The agency emphasized a zero-tolerance policy towards all individuals involved in illegal financial operations, and confirmed that further legal action will be taken based on the evidence gathered so far.
Meanwhile, the federal government has also launched a major campaign against fake news related to the recent Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) incident.
