ISLAMABAD: The Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) Anti-Corruption Circle in Islamabad has arrested the main suspect involved in a major fake admission scandal linked to the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC). Raids are underway to capture the remaining accused individuals.
According to FIA officials, Saddam Hussain, an employee of the PMDC, along with Pir Zulfiqar, Abid Khan, and Khair Muhammad (Hussain’s brother), allegedly misused their official positions to deceive students. The group is accused of offering fake admissions in medical colleges under the foreign student quota in return for large sums of money.
Investigators revealed that the suspects collected over Rs40 million through cash and bank transfers, allegedly using the names of senior PMDC officials to make their fraudulent scheme appear genuine.

Following a detailed inquiry, the FIA registered a case against all four suspects. They face serious charges, including misuse of authority, fraud, cheating, corruption, and abetment, under Sections 109, 409, 420, and 161 of the Pakistan Penal Code, along with relevant provisions of the Anti-Corruption Act.
An FIA spokesperson confirmed that efforts are ongoing to arrest the remaining accused and recover the embezzled funds, emphasizing that strict action will be taken against anyone found guilty of exploiting students for financial gain.
