FGEHA revolutionizes procurement with E-PADS implementation

FGEHA Takes Strides Towards Modernization with Introduction of E-Pak Acquisition & Disposal System (E-PADS)

In a commendable move towards enhancing transparency and embracing modern technologies, Captain (R) Muhammad Zafar Iqbal, Director General of the Federal Government Employees Housing Authority (FGEHA), has directed the implementation of the Pakistan Public Procurement Regulatory Authority’s (PPRA) electronic system of procurement – the E-Pak Acquisition & Disposal System (E-PADS).

To kickstart this transformative initiative, Mr. Asim Amir, Director of Information Technology (IT) at FGEHA, reached out to PPRA and successfully organized a comprehensive two-day training session from January 4th to 5th, 2024. The training took place in the Committee Room of FGEHA and aimed to familiarize the employees with the intricacies of the new E-PADS system.

The introductory session was conducted with precision and diligence by Mr. Rizwan Mahmood, Director of Management Information Systems (MIS), and Ms. Wardha Rizwan, Principal Business Analyst, both experts from PPRA. Their informative presentation provided valuable insights into the workings of the E-PADS system, ensuring a thorough understanding for all participants.

Acknowledging the importance of a collective effort, Mr. Faiz Umer Sial, Director of Administration, and Mr. Ahmed Hassan, Deputy Director of General Administration, extended their full support in organizing the training session.

The implementation of E-PADS marks a significant leap towards digitization and e-Procurement for FGEHA. This advanced system is poised to revolutionize governance, enhance management practices, and elevate transparency and accountability in public procurement. Moreover, the integration of E-PADS will contribute to a higher quality of procurement processes, ultimately leading to the establishment of an effective Monitoring & Evaluation System within FGEHA.
