Islamabad, Minister of Commerce held a crucial meeting with Chief Minister of Gilgit-Baltistan in Islamabad today.
During the meeting, discussions centered around the opportunities and potential of Gilgit-Baltistan, particularly focusing on the strategic significance of Khunjerab Pass for year-round accessibility. Dr. Gohar Ijaz highlighted that the increased revenue from the pass could lead to economic growth and job creation in the region.
Dr. Gohar Ijaz also emphasized the establishment of commercial hubs for local market development in Gilgit-Baltistan. The boost in mineral exports was identified as a key driver for the region’s progress, making the path to development smoother.
