Federal Info Minister Tarar Lauds Stellar Cricket Performances

Rawalpindi: Federal Minister for Information, Attaullah Tarar, praised the exceptional performance of the Stallions in the Champions Cup Final during a media briefing in Rawalpindi. Highlighting the thrilling nature of the match, he commended both teams for showcasing outstanding skills and sportsmanship.

The minister specifically appreciated the remarkable performances of seasoned players Shoaib Malik and fast bowler Haris Rauf, acknowledging their contributions to the game.

He extended heartfelt congratulations to PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi and his team for the successful organization of the event. “Mohsin Naqvi has formed a highly competent panel of selectors, and his efforts have been instrumental in ensuring the smooth execution of this tournament,” Tarar noted.

While reflecting on Pakistan’s recent cricket achievements, he highlighted victories against top-tier teams like Australia in Australia and South Africa on their home ground. “These wins are a testament to the immense talent within Pakistan, which is now rising to the forefront,” he remarked.

The minister emphasized the role of such tournaments in identifying and promoting emerging talent in Pakistan. He added, “The improvement in Pakistan’s cricket is evident, and the return of international cricket to our home grounds is enhancing the country’s image globally.”

Addressing concerns about blending politics with sports, he asserted, “Politics should remain far from the realm of sports. Cricket unites the nation, and the public should come forward to support their favorite teams.”

The minister also highlighted Pakistan’s tradition of hospitality, which has been praised by every international team visiting the country. He reassured that comprehensive security arrangements are always in place for visiting teams, further strengthening Pakistan’s reputation as a safe and welcoming cricketing destination.

Attaullah Tarar concluded his remarks by encouraging the people of Pakistan to support and celebrate their love for cricket. “The passion and enthusiasm of the Pakistani public for cricket are unmatched, and with continued efforts, our cricketing future looks bright,” he said.
