Federal Govt Boosts Education Budget with 140% Increase to Rs. 20 Billion

ISLAMABAD: The Planning Commission of Pakistan has announced a substantial allocation of Rs. 20.25 billion for the education sector in the 2024-25 federal budget, reflecting a 140% increase from the previous year.

As per the media reports, last year’s budget allotted only Rs. 8.5 billion to the Ministry of Education. Officials highlighted this significant rise as a clear indication of the government’s prioritization of education.

They also noted that successful initiatives taken during the current financial year have bolstered confidence, leading to the increased development budget for the education sector.
