Federal government to help with flood victims’ power bills.

Government Cuts Power Bills and Compensates Farmers After Devastating Floods

Pakistan – (Special Correspondent / Web Desk) – The federal government is providing major help to people hit by recent floods. This includes cutting their electricity bills and giving special support to farmers.

A government minister, Rana Tanveer Hussain, confirmed the plan. The goal is to remove many extra fees from the power bills of affected families. This means charges like sales tax, fuel adjustments, and fixed fees could be taken away.

The local provincial government will also cancel land taxes. Officials will also focus on fixing electricity bills that were already sent out in error to flood victims.

A special aid package for farmers was also announced. It is designed to pay them back for crops and animals lost in the floods.
