Federal government declined proposal of Punjab government to deploy Rangers
Islamabad: (Staff Reporter) In a recent development, the Federal government declined the proposal of the Punjab government to deploy Rangers in Lahore for an indefinite period.
According to the source, this decision came after the Punjab government approached the federal government last week to deploy Rangers in Lahore due to security concerns. Sources reveal that the federal cabinet approved the deployment of Rangers in Lahore for 10 days based on the circulation summary.
However, the Punjab government was seeking a more extended period of deployment due to the security situation in the province.
As per details it is worth mentioning that earlier, the Federation had not agreed to the proposal for deployment of Rangers in Lahore from 12 to 22 March and approved the deployment of Rangers in Lahore from 12 to 15 March.
