Federal Government Approves Jail Trial for Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi in New Tosha Khana Case

The decision follows the recent arrest of Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi in the NAB case, just a day after their acquittal in the Iddat case.

Islamabad: The federal government has approved the jail trial of PTI founder Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi in the latest Tosha Khana case brought by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).

The Ministry of Law and Justice issued a notification authorizing the jail trial under Section 16B of the NAB Ordinance 1999, citing security reasons. The notification has been communicated to the legal representatives of Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi.

The decision follows the recent arrest of Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi in the NAB case, just a day after their acquittal in the Iddat case.

Today, a hearing will be held in Adiala Jail to address the remand of Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi in the new Tosha Khana reference. Accountability Court Judge Muhammad Ali Waraich will preside over the hearing, and NAB’s legal team has already arrived at the jail to proceed with the case.
