Public Holiday Announced for Kashmir Solidarity Day

Islamabad: (Web Desk) –  The federal government has announced a nationwide public holiday on Thursday, February 5, in observance of Kashmir Solidarity Day.

According to a notification issued by the Cabinet Division, all public and private offices will remain closed across the country on the occasion.

February 5 — A Day of Solidarity with the Kashmiri People

Kashmir Solidarity Day is observed annually in Pakistan to express solidarity with the people of Jammu and Kashmir. On this day, special events, seminars, rallies, and prayer gatherings are held nationwide to reaffirm support for the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination and to highlight their ongoing struggle.
