ISLAMABAD,  (Staff Reporter): Federal Cabinet Postpones PTI Ban and Article 6 Cases, The Federal Cabinet has postponed its decision to ban Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and invoke Article 6 against its leaders . The cabinet will consult with the Pakistan People’s Party and other coalition parties before making a decision. Here are some key points about the situation:

Among the key issues discussed were the potential ban on Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) and the imposition of Article 6 against former President Arif Alvi, PTI founder Imran Khan, and Deputy Speaker Qasim Suri.

Despite these pressing matters, the cabinet decided to defer the decisions on the PTI ban and Article 6 cases. According to sources, the government plans to consult with the Pakistan People’s Party and allied parties before bringing the issue back to the cabinet table.

PML-N and PPP Consultations on PTI Ban and Article 6 Actions

Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Ataullah Tarar recently confirmed that the federal government is contemplating a ban on PTI. He also emphasized that an Article 6 case should be initiated against Arif Alvi, Imran Khan, and Qasim Suri.

The reference against these individuals will be forwarded to the Supreme Court following the cabinet’s approval. Additionally, passports and identity cards of the implicated persons are to be blocked, and a parliamentary resolution will be sought to ensure the process adheres to constitutional and legal frameworks.
