FBR Targets Over Rs 12.5 Trillion Revenue for Next Fiscal Year

Islamabad: FBR Chairman Amjad Zubair Tiwana Announces Potential Revenue Target of Over Rs 12.5 Trillion for Next Fiscal Year

In an informal discussion with the media regarding proposals for the upcoming federal budget, Chairman of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), Amjad Zubair Tiwana, revealed that the revenue target for the next fiscal year could exceed Rs 12.5 trillion.

Chairman Tiwana discussed various proposals currently under consideration to enhance tax targets and collections. He emphasized the expansion of the trader-friendly scheme’s registration in the next fiscal year and the ongoing efforts to improve the performance of the Track and Trace System.

“We are striving to meet this fiscal year’s tax target,” stated Chairman Tiwana. He also highlighted plans to expand the scope of the Track and Trace System further.

In addition, Chairman Tiwana mentioned that steps will be included in the Finance Bill to bring non-filers into the tax net, aiming to broaden the tax base and increase compliance.

This proactive approach by the FBR signifies a determined effort to enhance revenue collection and streamline tax processes in Pakistan.
