FBR Suspends Property Valuation Notification in Islamabad

Islamabad: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has suspended its notification regarding the valuation of properties in Islamabad.

According to sources, the FBR took the decision to suspend the notification on the directives of the Prime Minister. The notification had been issued on December 8, fixing new property valuation rates for Islamabad.

Earlier, the property sector had rejected the newly announced valuations, expressing concerns over their potential impact on real estate transactions and the sector as a whole.

Following these objections and the Prime Minister’s intervention, the FBR decided to put the notification on hold until further review.
