ISLAMABAD: The long-awaited Pakistani romantic film Neelofar, starring Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan, is finally set to hit cinemas worldwide on November 28, as confirmed by the film’s official social media announcement earlier this week.
Written and directed by Ammar Rasool and produced by Usaf Shariq, Neelofar brings together one of Pakistan’s most beloved on-screen duos, reuniting Fawad and Mahira after their previous blockbuster collaborations in Humsafar and The Legend of Maula Jatt.
The film’s official poster and teaser — released on platforms like Facebook and Instagram — feature the two leads together in an emotional frame, accompanied by a short animated clip that opens with Fawad’s dialogue: “Neelofar naam hai uska” (Her name is Neelofar). The teaser has sparked excitement among fans, with many marking their calendars for the global release date.

Originally completed in 2020, the film’s release was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite the long wait, anticipation has only grown, especially given the enduring popularity of its lead pair.
Alongside Fawad and Mahira, Neelofar features a star-studded supporting cast, including Madiha Imam, Sarwat Gilani, Atiqa Odho, Behrooz Sabzwari, Gohar Rasheed, Faisal Qureshi, Samiya Mumtaz, Rashid Farooqui, Chand Baral, Seemi Raheel, Adeel Hashmi, Hira Tareen, and Navid Shahzad.
With its romantic narrative and the return of a fan-favourite duo, Neelofar is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated South Asian film releases of the year.
