Explosions Rock Tehran Amid Rising Tensions and Threat of Israeli Strikes

Concerns grow over regional stability as authorities remain tight-lipped about the cause of the blasts.

Explosions were reported in multiple areas of Tehran as regional tensions rise, with indications that an Israeli strike on Iran could be imminent.

Israel-(Special Correspondent): Witnesses noted several loud blasts, prompting speculation about their origins and sparking discussions on social media about the potential impact on security and stability in the area. While local sources pointed to ongoing conflicts as a possible cause, authorities have not yet confirmed what caused the explosions or the extent of any resulting damage.

The situation in Iran remains precarious, as military activities in the region continue to evolve, drawing attention from international observers and raising concerns about regional stability.

### Flights Diverted Over Iran, Syria, and Iraq
In light of the heightened Israeli strikes on military targets in Iran, all flights over Iran, Syria, and Iraq have been suspended. This unprecedented measure is intended to secure airspace amid escalating regional tensions and will affect civilian, commercial, and non-operational military flights until at least Saturday morning. Although Iran had initially planned to reopen its airspace at 9 AM, this closure has now been extended indefinitely.

Israeli attacks have targeted key military sites throughout Iran, leading to immediate reactions on Iranian social media, where users expressed worries about possible further actions by the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF). Images shared online depict passengers disembarking from grounded flights at Iranian airports, underscoring the disruption to regional air travel and the significant financial implications for airlines.

Flight data indicates that the distance from Israel to Tehran is roughly 1,600 kilometers. Military jets like the F-16 and F-35 can reach high speeds, allowing for an estimated round trip flight time of about 50 minutes from Tehran to Israeli airspace, potentially extending by an additional 15 to 30 minutes if mid-air refueling is required.
