QUETTA: Quetta police reported that an explosion on the railway track in Mastung’s Spezand area caused four bogies of the Jafar Express to derail on Monday. The train was traveling from Peshawar to Quetta at the time of the incident.
According to authorities, the blast occurred as the Jafar Express was passing through Spezand, damaging a section of the railway track and resulting in the derailment of multiple bogies.

Three passengers sustained injuries and were immediately shifted to Quetta for medical treatment. Fortunately, no fatalities have been reported so far.
The Jafar Express is a major passenger train connecting Peshawar and Quetta. While the explosion disrupted the train’s journey, prompt rescue operations helped minimize further damage and ensured passenger safety. Railway police are investigating the incident.
