EX Information Minster lambasts PTI following Supreme Court’s verdict

Attempt was made to resort to ‘fake tactics’ by moving PHC: Khawaja Asif

Islamabad _Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Marriyum Aurangzeb launching a scathing attack against the ousted party. Reacting to the Supreme Court’s decision, she emphasized the importance of adherence to the law and the electoral code of conduct for all political parties.

Speaking about the consequences of delayed elections, she stated that timely elections would have averted the current situation.

In reference to the party’s situation, she attributed it to the alleged duplicity of the PTI founder, pointing out that Chief Justice had been seeking evidence for three days. Maryam Aurangzeb dismissed alternate plans (Plan B, Plan C, and Plan D) presented by PTI, claiming they lacked substance.

Critiquing the preparations for Plan B, she compared it to the effort invested in ensuring fair intra-party elections. Drawing attention to the Senate election, Maryam Aurangzeb accused certain individuals of being preoccupied with celebrations while alleged rigging was taking place. Concluding her remarks, she called for all parties to conduct elections in accordance with the prescribed code of conduct.

PML-N senior leader Khawaja Asif said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder will have to bear the brunt of handing over the party to the lawyers.

Speaking on a private TV channel, the former defence minister said, “Now the time has changed, and the courts have become independent and started to deliver justice.”

“They [PTI] used to believe that they would continue to rule forever,” he said.

He scolded the PTI, saying, “An attempt was made to resort to the fake tactics by moving the Peshawar Higher Court (PHC)”.

Khawaja Asif has said PML-N will put the country back on road to progress after coming into power on Feb 8.

He was speaking to a women workers’ convention on Sunday.

He said Pakistan was a peaceful and prosperous country during the rule of Nawaz Sharif and Nawaz was removed to serve the cause of a few opportunists.

The former federal minister said PML-N would win as the former rulers had done nothing for the country.

Election Commission allots election symbols to PTI candidates

“Our women were falsely implicated in cases. They themselves took their women on the roads and I swear no incident of Usman Dar’s mother took place,” he said.

The veteran PML-N leader said that motorway would be constructed upto Kharian with an estimated Rs86 billion and the road would lead to Rawalpindi afterward.
