Former Army Chief Qamar Bajwa Hospitalized After Early Morning Fall

ISLAMABAD: (Web Desk) –  ormer Chief of Army Staff General (retd) Qamar Javed Bajwa sustained injuries early Tuesday morning after a fall at his residence and was rushed to a hospital for treatment.

According to family sources, the retired general slipped in his home washroom around 4:30 am, resulting in injuries to multiple parts of his body. He was immediately admitted to a hospital in Rawalpindi.

Sources said General Bajwa suffered a head injury and is currently receiving care in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), where doctors are closely monitoring his condition.

General (Retd) Bajwa served as Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff from 2016 to November 2022. He was initially appointed by former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and later received a three-year extension during the tenure of former Prime Minister Imran Khan.

Authorities have not yet issued an official statement regarding the incident or the extent of his injuries. Further updates on his health are awaited.
