England ride Buttler’s blistering knock to defeat Pakistan in second T20I
BIRMINGHAM – The host England have defeated Pakistan by 23 runs in the second T20I match.
Despite Fakhar Zaman and Babar Azam’s knocks of 45 and 32 runs, the host simply got the better of the visiting side.
Batting first, England had put 183 runs on the board with a healthy contribution from the captain Butler.
England have set the target of 184 runs for Pakistan in the second T20I match.
Captain Jos Buttler played an aggressive knock of 84 runs while Will Jacks also contributed well with 37 runs.
The innings saw England playing aggressively in the first half but ultimately the Pakistani bowlers kept the batters in check with good bowling.
Shaheen Shah Afridi was the pick of the bowlers with three wickets.

Earlier, Pakistan won the toss and opted to field first against England in the second T20I match.
The second T20I match between Pakistan and England is being played at the Edgbaston Stadium in Birmingham.
The match started at 6:30 PM according to Pakistan Standard Time.
It should be noted that the first match of the series was disrupted due to rain.
