Zubair Taimoor Highlights Reforms for Energy Sector and Economic Stability
Islamabad (Staff Reporter) Zubair Taimoor, Deputy Chairman of the Police and Civil Administration Committee of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI), has welcomed Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s announcement to reduce electricity prices. In his statement, he said that this initiative by the Prime Minister would help stabilize the national economy and provide relief not only to domestic consumers but also to the industrial sector, paving the way for a brighter and more prosperous future.
Zubair Taimoor lauded Federal Minister Awais Leghari and the government’s economic team for taking a commendable step in the national interest, saying that its positive impact would soon be evident.
He further stated that in recent months, rising electricity prices had caused severe difficulties for both the public and the business community. However, the Pakistan Muslim League (N) government has always prioritized people-friendly and business-friendly policies. The Prime Minister’s decision to lower electricity tariffs is a testament to the government’s sincere efforts to provide relief to the public and the business sector.

Zubair Taimoor also emphasized that reforms in Independent Power Producers (IPPs), petroleum levies, and other related sectors would lead to further improvements in the energy sector, ultimately ensuring economic stability in the country.
