Electricity Back in Majority of Flood-Affected Regions
Flood-hit areas see restoration at 39 grids, 356 feeders
Punjab-(Special Correspondent/Web desk)Electricity is steadily returning to flood-affected areas as the Power Division reports significant progress. So far, power has been restored to 39 grids and 356 feeders, including 152 that are fully operational. Another 202 feeders have been temporarily reconnected to ensure uninterrupted supply. Officials say teams are working day and night to restore power to the remaining areas
The Power Division reported that in Punjab, 17 grids and 53 feeders under Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO) have been restored on a temporary basis. In tribal districts, two feeders in North Waziristan have been temporarily reconnected, with full recovery expected by September 5. Officials said DISCO teams remain on the ground around the clock to speed up the process, while the Ministry assured that complete restoration across flood-hit regions is a top priority
