ECP Sets April 23 Polling Date for Murad Saeed's Vacant Senate Seat in KP Assembly

Islamabad – (Web Desk) – The Election Commission of Pakistan has released the election schedule for the Senate seat left empty after PTI leader Murad Saeed was disqualified. Voters will head to the polls on April 23 at the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly.

As per official details, the Returning Officer will formally announce the vacant seat this Friday. Candidates looking to contest the election can file their nomination papers on April 6 and 7, giving hopeful contenders a two-day window to throw their hat in the ring.

The scrutiny of nomination papers is scheduled for April 10, followed by the filing of appeals against acceptance or rejection on April 13. The hearing of appeals will take place on April 15, and the final list of candidates will be published on April 16.

Candidates will be allowed to withdraw their nomination papers on April 17.

Polling for the seat will be conducted on April 23 from 9am to 4pm at the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly.
