Eight passengers injured in bogies of train derailed due to blast on railway

Quetta: (Web Desk) At least eight passengers were injured when bogies of a train derailed due to a blast on the railway line in Paneer area of Baluchistan’s Bolan district. The Bolan deputy commissioner said the blast targeting the Jaffar Express travelling from Quetta to Peshawar was planned and eight bogies derailed, along with the engine of the train.

According to the source, he said eight people had been injured according to initial reports. He said rescue teams might face difficulty as it’s a mountainous terrain, adding that the security forces and rescue team left for the site immediately after the incident was reported. The Baluchistan chief minister has condemned the tragic incident and also directed the deputy commissioners of Kachhi and Sibbi to provide every kind of assistance to the victims.
