In his message released on the eve of Eid ul Fitr, the president said, “This day of happiness is celebrated to express gratitude to God, the almighty, for His countless blessings”.

Muzaffarabad: Eid ul Fitr truly symbolizes the great values of Islam President AJK. President Azad Kashmir Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry, while extending his heartfelt greetings to Muslims across the world, has said that Eid ul Fitr truly symbolizes the great values of Islam, the piety, patience and brotherhood, love and compassion.

In his message released on the eve of Eid ul Fitr, the president said, “This day of happiness is celebrated to express gratitude to God, the almighty, for His countless blessings”.

Remembering the people of Kashmir, who are caught in conflict and strife, Barrister Chaudhry said, “On this auspicious day, I miss my brothers and sisters who are sacrificing their lives to get their basic right, the right to self-determination in Indian occupied territory of Jammu and Kashmir”. He said that since August 2019 the people of the disputed region have been facing the worst kind of suppression and brutalities at the hands of the Indian occupation forces.

Expressing solidarity with the Kashmiri people, he said, “People on this side of LoC stand in solidarity with them in their just struggle”.
He expressed the hope that the unprecedented struggle and sacrifices rendered by the people of the restive region would reach to fruition and justice would prevail in the end.

He expressed his belief that the day was not far when entire state of Jammu and Kashmir would unite and become a part of Pakistan.

“The state’s cultural, geographical, economic and spiritual relationship with Pakistan cannot be broken by any nefarious tactics”, he added.

He said that the history bearers witness to the fact that the successive Pakistani governments have always supported the Kashmiris’ legitimate struggle politically, morally and diplomatically.

He said that Kashmiri people would not hesitate to make any sacrifice for Pakistan.
