Former Pakistan fast bowler Ehsan Adil added to US squad
DUBAI (Web Desk) – Former Pakistani fast bowler Ehsan Adil has officially joined the United States squad for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026. The inclusion was approved by the ICC Event Technical Committee after Adil replaced US fast bowler Jasdeep Singh, who withdrew due to a shoulder injury.
Adil, who has previously represented Pakistan in international cricket, played three Test matches and six One Day Internationals (ODIs) for the national team. His addition to the US squad comes under ICC regulations requiring technical committee approval for any last-minute squad changes.
Pakistan’s decision to play India helps ICC save $174m
The match between Pakistan and the United States has attracted widespread attention. Historically not considered a cricket powerhouse, the US stunned Pakistan during the 2026 T20 World Cup by winning in a Super Over, creating one of the biggest upsets in recent international cricket.
Adding to the excitement, US President Donald Trump extended his best wishes to the team, praising their potential and boosting player morale ahead of the match.
