Islamabad: (Staff Reporter) The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has issued a notification of PTI Chairman Imran Khan’s win on seven National Assembly seats during by-elections on vacant seats. On Oct 16, 2022, the PTI chief had won seven NA seats and the PTI swept the by-elections while securing six NA and two Punjab Assembly seats. A five-member commission, chaired by the chief election commissioner, reserved the verdict on Dec 20, 2022.
According to the source, Imran Khan won the NA seats from Mardan, Charsadda and Peshawar in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Faisalabad and Nankana Sahib in Punjab and Korangi district of Karachi in Sindh. The electoral watchdog had taken notice of Imran Khan s failure to submit the details of the election expenses.
