Early Winter Arrives in Northern Pakistan with Snowfall and Storms
Mansehra-(Special Correspondent): Mansehra and nearby areas experienced rain, followed by a strong storm and snowfall in northern tourist hotspots, signaling an early start to winter in Pakistan.
Snow blanketed popular spots like Lulosar Lake, Butta Kundi, and Babusar Top, transforming the landscape into a beautiful winter scene.
Around a foot of snow accumulated near Lulosar Lake, dusting rooftops across northern areas and setting a scenic winter backdrop.
However, snowfall has partially closed some routes, including the Babusar Top Road toward Gilgit-Baltistan, making travel more difficult.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department forecasts that a westerly wave will likely affect western and northern Pakistan from tonight, bringing rain and thunderstorms to regions including upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, and the Pothohar Region, with gusty winds expected in upper Punjab.
While most areas experienced dry weather over the past 24 hours, Sindh recorded the highest temperatures, with Lasbella, Mithi, and Hyderabad reaching up to 42°C.
