Dua Lipa races into Goodwood Festival of Speed

She was on hand to promote the charity auction of a customised Porsche 911 GT3 RS, designed by the star herself.

ISLAMABAD: Pop superstar Dua Lipa turned heads at the Goodwood Festival of Speed with a flash of fashion flair and a powerful purpose.

The 29-year-old singer arrived at the automotive extravaganza in West Sussex wearing a black leather jacket, ripped black denim shorts, and a white T-shirt, before switching in record time into a bright yellow striped shirt and blue jeans, a transformation described as quicker than an F1 pitstop.

Dua wasn’t just there for show. She was on hand to promote the charity auction of a customised Porsche 911 GT3 RS, designed by the star herself. The vibrant vehicle, emblazoned with her name and the word Rennstall (German for “racing team”), is expected to fetch over $400,000 (£346,000) at auction, with all proceeds going to her Sunny Hill Foundation, which supports vulnerable communities and cultural initiatives in her native Kosovo.

The singer, who has been a Porsche ambassador since 2023 and is estimated to be worth £100 million, even took on the legendary Goodwood hill climb as a passenger in her personalised Porsche, driven by Iron Dames racing driver Karen Gaillard.

While her star power lit up the event, Dua Lipa kept it grounded, arriving at St. Pancras station earlier this week via Eurostar after a holiday, showing she’s just as happy hopping trains as she is stepping out of supercars.

The sold-out Goodwood Festival of Speed, now in its 31st year, has grown into one of the UK’s premier motoring events, drawing more than 200,000 fans and featuring the latest innovations and launches from the likes of Ferrari, Aston Martin, Renault, and Chevrolet.
